DSG AUTOMATIC GEARBOX SERVICING

The DSG automatic gearboxes across the VAG group are recommended to have a service every 40,000 miles.

The DSG gearbox has two computer controlled clutches that work with very fine tolerances. Once the gearbox oil is dirty it will affect the performance and damage other components. Dirty oil can often overheat the gearbox and cause the clutches to burn out it will also stop the gear change being as smooth and eventually cause the system to fail all together.

We also recommend a service for the Haldex on 4 wheel drive vehicles.

These services are carried out using genuine VAG group oils and filters specific for the vehicle model, this allows you to keep within the conditions of your vehicles warranty.
